Dr. Feras Hawari, MD, FCCP is the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care, the Director of the Respiratory Unit and the Director of the Cancer Control Office at King Hussein Center (KHCC). He is a Full Member in the Department of Medicine and a Permanent Member in the Executive Council of KHCC. Dr. Hawari completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology from SUNY Buffalo. Following that, he also completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care from the University of California, Irvine. Before joining KHCC, he worked at the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Branch (PCCMB) at the U.S National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the U.S National Institute of Health (NIH). Dr. Hawari is the Regional Director for Global Bridges in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, an expert consultant on cancer control for the WHO and for the International Atomic Energy Agency. He is active in research and administration in the field of Critical Care. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Hawari is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
