Started her Nursing Career as a Staff Nurse in Durban South Africa, and received the Durban City Council Award for Clinical Nursing in 1984.

Obtained her Registration in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community Health Sciences at Carinus Nursing College, Cape Town, South Africa. She worked at Somerset Hospital where she received honors in Clinical Nursing for the duration of her 4 year course.

With keen interest in ICU she moved to Groote Schuur Hospital, one of Cape Town’s premier tertiary academic hospital and obtained her Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing Science and received the best Clinical Nursing award for the duration of the course.

For 8 years of her working experience she travelled extensively throughout the Western Cape and United Kingdom as a Medical Representative and Business Development Manager of reputable Medical Companies.

From 2005 she took the opportunity to work in the Middle East where she was ICU Charge Nurse and CPR Coordinator in Saudi Arabia. She later served as a Head Nurse of a 28 bedded Female Medical ward which was awarded as the best run unit under her administration.

After 5 years in Saudi Arabia, she worked in Doha, Qatar as the Nurse Manager for ICU, CCU, Cath Lab and Cardiology OPD.

Debbie is currently a member of the Prime Health Care Group and Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care Unit.
