Dr. Husain is qualified with four American board degrees in: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases Medicine.
He is currently consultant intensivist and the chief of medical ICU in Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE and Adjunct Clinical assistant Professor, Gulf Medical University, Ajman, previously he was working as Senior Consultant Intensivist & Pulmonologist and the Director of critical care fellowship program at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar, prior to that he was the Director of Critical Care fellowship Training Program and
Consultant Intensivist & Pulmonologist with Infectious Diseases Privileges in Department of Adult Critical Care in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, before working in KSA he was Consultant Intensivist and Pulmonologist in Detroit, USA.
He has been involved actively in teaching undergraduate doctors and students, he was the program director for critical care fellowship in his two previous jobs, he supervises senior doctors to be trained in the field of critical care, This is filed is very dynamic, challenging and stressing, applying up-to-date evidence based medicine and state of the art technology and monitoring system in ICU, to teach junior and senior physician how to manage these patient with the complicated medical equipment.
Dr. Husain is competent doing various kinds of ICU, pulmonology and ID procedures, he is the chair of the code blue committee and a member in various committees in Mafraq Hospital, Seha Corporate and Ministry Of Health UAE.
